"The Hills" Reaches Number One

The Weeknd is inevitably one of the biggest phenomenons in the R&B. Three weeks later after it reached the top 100 of Billboard, with the single "Can’t Feel My Face", the Canadian singer substitutes himself in the Top with the song "The Hills", a rare achievement only made by artists as The Beatles, OutKast, Black Eyed Peas or Taylor Swift, which was the last artist to achieve it.

Both singles are in his last album "Beauty Behind the Madness", where The Weeknd features artists as Lana Del Rey or Ed Sheeran and it's in the First place in the top charts for weeks, in the North American charts. 

On the first week after it;s release, the album sold 412 thousand copies sold in the US, and since then it has sold more 250 thousand copies, which made "Beauty Behind the Madness" one of the most popular albums of 2015. 

Recently the Canadian artist performed in the Apple Music Fest, on Roundhouse, in London, his first solo concert in British grounds since the release of "Beauty Behind the Madness". The gig received much aparaise specialy from the NME, Gigwise or MTV. The British channel of MTV remebers the encore as epic in for the songs "High for This" e "Wicked Games".

"Beauty Behind the Madness", continues to be the target of some positive reviews. "The artists known as The Weeknd does not compromise his values just to be suit his new audience", says i-D Vice.

Turn Style website says that in his new album, The Weeknd found a perfect balance between Pop and profanity" comparing him to Michael Jackson.
